Denver-based creative studio celebrates first major festival entry as it expands its mission of bold, character-driven storytelling
DENVER, CO — February 21, 2026 — Radical Optimism Entertainment “RAD”, an independent creative studio focused on original, character-first storytelling, today announced that its debut scripted series HaPpY has been officially submitted to the 2026 ATX Television Festival. This marks the company’s first festival entry and a significant milestone as the studio continues building momentum in the television space. Finalist announcements are expected in early March.

HaPpY is a dark comedic drama centered on Sebastian “Farnsy” Farnsworth III, a fallen heir navigating fame, failure, and identity in a world that never quite made room for him. Blending sharp satire with emotional depth, the series reflects Radical Optimism Entertainment’s commitment to telling original stories that are both human and unpredictable.
“We didn’t start RAD to tell the same stories that have already been told,” said Scott Gardiner, founder of Radical Optimism Entertainment. “Submitting HaPpY to ATX is an exciting step for us — not just because it’s our first festival entry, but because it represents exactly why we created this company in the first place: to champion distinctive voices and bold, character-driven storytelling.”
The ATX Television Festival is widely recognized for celebrating innovative television and emerging creative voices. For RAD, the submission represents both a creative milestone and an opportunity to introduce HaPpY to a broader industry audience.
“We believe audiences are hungry for stories that feel real, messy, and deeply human,” Gardiner added. “Whether or not we advance, being part of the ATX conversation is incredibly meaningful for our team.”
